🪆 Do Taxis Take Card In Paris
Very FEW taxis in Paris have the ability to 'read' credit cards. In as much as you will have been in France for a while before arriving in Pariscoming up with the relatively small amount of €uro cash to pay a taxi fare shouldn't be a burden. There really is no convenient Metro connection between Gare de Lyon and your destination address.
What should I do if I want to pay by credit card for a taxi in Paris. Although most taxis in Paris don’t take credit cards, many of the ones you’ll find at the airport do. If you are at the airport, tell the taxi dispatcher you want a taxi that takes credit cards. If you are hailing a cab on the street, all G7 taxis take credit cards so try
Le Cab. Le Cab is another French taxi alternative. The application promises that customers will only pay the fixed price they agree to when reserving their ride. One advantage to Le Cab is that
Barcelona taxis are considered affordable. They are metered, and hence, there are no fixed prices for the transfers inside the city zones. In general terms, the flag price is 2.30€/2.30$, and the charge per km is 1.21€-1.21$/km for weekdays from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, and 1.45€/1.45$ for night rides, weekends and holidays.
If you're in a queue for a taxi, you can always wait for one that does take cards. AFAIK buses take cash or tickets. Metros you need tickets, but you can buy those with a card. If you don't have chip+pin, you'll need to go to a manned ticket window. 2.

When this happens I waive the taxi on and take the 1st one to accept card payment. If you prebook a taxi you should state clearly that you want to pay by card.
Taxis in Paris aren't really any more expensive than they are in New York or London.. The average TAXI PARISIAN fare between Gare du Nord and neighborhoods in the upper-5eme-Latin Quarter or upper-6eme-Saint Germain des Prés are likely to run around 12€-to-16€ (w/o surcharges and dependent on the vageries of surface traffic)from Gare du Nord to the neighborhoods around Eiffel Tower

However, the card probably will not work with some machines such as train ticket machines and automatic fuel pumps.
I haven't used a taxi other than Uber in Paris and the rest of France. Arriving at CDG in early February, the RER B into Paris may not be running a lot if the strikes continue. Could someone please confirm that taxis at CDG do or don't generally accept credit cards. I don't have a lot of leftover euros from my last visit.
Contactless. All your ride has to do is tap your machine with their card. If it’s successful, a green light will pop up while the payment processes, and if it’s declined, a message will show to let you know. After that, everything works the same as chip and PIN payments.

Save. Do many places (restaurants, shops, hotels) in Paris accept the Discover Card credit card? Discover doesn't charge any international fee on purchases. My Visa provider is charging 3%, Wachovia bank card is charging 2%, and USAA Mastercard is charging 1%. Just trying to minimize extra fees, if possible.
