Connect your garmin to your PC and copy this file into the Garmin/app folder and it should be ok. You should see an altimeter app into the Garmin. be aware you need to be outside to use. During the initiation, the Garmin will get a position fix, which will be assumed to be the dropzone.
Just wanted to add my elevation issues with 15.20 with Fenix 5 Plus: Elevations during activities seem to be OK but when not in an activity I am getting random wild spikes and dips in elevations. Never had this problem before 15.20. The average elevation where I am is 350 feet or so. No mountains or deep sea dives!

Jose over 4 years ago. I recently bought a Fenix 5x and I've been having issues with the altimeter readings. For example, yesterday I manually calibrated it at a known elevation location near where I live, after that went for a walk around the neighborhood (not recording any activity) and by the time I got to the same spot the elevation was off
What appears to be happening is that the fenix 5 plus is going through weird oscillations where it's swinging +/- 50ft every couple of minutes. I tried doing the calibration routine, but every time I attempt to calibrate (settings -> sensors -> altimeter -> calibrate), it just says "calibration failed."
After update to 5.1. and installing Spotify I found out Altimeter Barometer and Thermometer does not work. It shows only ---. I am able to calibrate altimeter with gps but I can do nothing about Barometer and Thermometer. Reply. A dedicated community for Garmin users to ask questions, provide answers, and share feedback.
fenix 6x altimeter issue. Often sweat, some dust, or other small items get into that hole, it often needs to be cleaned, I personally replaced the lower case on the Garmin Fenix 5x because the barometer sensors failed. Last two bike rides have 2x more altitude gained than there really is. Looking at the graph, it is jagged totally.
Before the 935 I have a Fenix 3 HR, before that a Garmin 920XT and others before. I really want to like the the 935, I love the size and weight of it, the battery life, the fit, the operating system and I like the idea of what its meant to do - I say idea of what its meant to do because I find it horribly unreliable.
Keep one eye on the altimeter. its still creepy after many many years and its garmin masters cannot regulate its behaviour. watch out for irregular behaviour like when its starting to cheat on you. You can fall off the cliff after calibration. after calibration. Please garmin sort this. 60mtrs drop it was present in my old fenix 6 solar on
